For 35 years the planer board has remained what is essentially a beveled, flat board. The Plane-R-Wing brings the planer into the 21st century with a new hydrological design inspired by the airplane wing.
The Hydrological design greatly improves the performance of the planer. First, the wing shape pulls the wing away from your boat. In addition, this design also tracks more efficiently through the water to provide superior performance in rough water conditions. (Photo courtesy of sweetwatertrolling.com)
3 rare earth magnets in the ballast channel provide secure attachment of ballast weight as your setup warrants. If you run 200' of copper you may not want to add ballast. If you are long lining plugs in waves you can add ballast forward or aft in 1/4 or 1/2 ounce increments. Simply attach the included weights.
We don't just sell boards with our name on them. You want yours! Your boat's name. your business name. Whatever. Plus we add your cell phone # or website. ....Or maybe your best fish chant? (One Time $35 setup fee)
We customize the Plane-R-Wing to you and your wants and needs.
You select the specific release types you prefer; Advanced Angler, Lock Jaw, Sam's Pro. Clip, Pinch Pad, etc. You no longer have to modify to your preferred setup after the initial purchase.
CUSTOM COLORS TO MATCH YOUR BOAT - ADDED $10 - 1X SETUP CHARGE

Spring Salmon fishing on Lake Michigan.
Offshore wind 30-35 mph. Plane-R-Wing is inside planer.
Actual Plane-R-Wing testing on the St Claire River. Watch the speed of the foam on the river and you will see that the current is 2.5 - 4 mph. The Plane-R-Wing easily cuts through the water.
For 2023, all Plane-R-Wings have attachment points for adding a "tattle tail" flag. With this option, the flag will "dip" under drag from a fish...or a weed. If the fish shakes off, the flag will return to a vertical position.
